I got this message from a mate on Saturday:

"Strange question this: Do you know, as a country boy, if we shave our cows in the UK? Apparently they do here in Holland routinely, and not as some sort of fetish. There's 2 euro riding on the result of this."

As this forum is a suppository of weird and wonderful information - does anyone here work as a cow shaver? Does anyone know if we routinely shave our cows ( not the tacky tabloid/cheap nightclub type )?

I'm pretty sure they're usually waxed rather than shaven.

Repository I'd have hoped. I don't fancy shoving STW towers where the su don't shine tbh!

Their backs are shaved with clippers when they are kept inside over winter to stop them overheating

As this forum is a suppository

I went to the doctor with a problem, he said 'Here's some suppositories, take them as necessary for relief'
So I went back a week later and said, 'Doc, these things are murder to take. And for all the good they've done I might as well have shoved them up my arse!'

Dairy cows have their udders shaved if they are to hairy to keep them cleaner and their tails can be shaved for the same reason also it makes show animals look better. Have done it myself.

So a back, crack and ( udder ) sack is not entirely unknown in the bovine world.

You learn something new every day.

You shouldn't have worried, nothing exciting and I got to page 12! But it did throw out this.
