There are just people in here drinking, one of the bar staff is mixing away (not badly) but really loudly when everyone is just having a beer, why.......

....because it's early and he's hoping the music will draw interest and fill the place up?

....because he knows that this is where people migrate to a bit later when they want a dance and he'll get more money out of drunken dancing revellers than the few miseries who are sat around and not dancing

.....he doesn't like the present clientele and thinks that a dose of bangin' toonz will get rid of them?

It's always struck me as odd.

I was in an 'old man's pub' in town the other Wednesday night, a mate and I were playing darts and the only other people in were a couple at the bar and the barman. The jukebox was set to "ear-splitting", to a degree that we couldn't hear each other talk when stood next to each other and yelling.

Now I like loud music as much as anyone else, but when there's five people in the entire place including staff and they're belting out the theme to Frozen loud enough to be deafening in the next postcode, it's a bit excessive.

Not adverse to some (good quality) dj'ing in a bar, even if I'm just drinking, but it does seem rather early....

Ta, breadcrumb! One of those things I'd seen ages ago and had just been waiting for the right moment to post it on here!

rats - took me too long to work out how to do videos!

it's like he was floatin' on air.

also my four-year-old's current favourite video (although he's gone off McHammer now for some reason...)
