It's usually on offer at a silly price. Just to confuse things, reduced price shop items usually have a orange price sticker on them. Often but not always cheap stuff sold even cheaper.

There's no way to save money at Decathlon. You might go into the shop planning on just getting a "Blue" product, but you will walk out with new socks, a new polar fleece, swimming goggles, inner tubes, etc. etc.

Or is it just me? 😕

What he said, went in for 'a look' last month.

Came out with about £100 of 'stuff'!

+1. Always leave with way more than expected. Anyone else feel that the quality of some stuff has declined recently? Used to do reasonably cheap cycling jerseys that were also fairly good quality, but recently they've gone silly cheap on their own brand cycling jersey that they're barely recognisable as a cycling jersey anymore.

No, it was always a bit hit 'n miss. I've got a great windstopper jacket that's still going strong after 5+ years, but the bib tights I got at the same time have long since been chucked in the bin. Like most shops, the more you pay the better the quality: their cheapo running socks last a couple of months, the more expensive ones considerably longer.

I went in for some tyres and came out with Skis, boot and poles...... and a tyre. Only £400 over budget 😉

I've been shopping in them for years, used to go on holiday to France and stock up on running/cycling gear when there.
Now they are in the UK still good but becoming more and more expensive.

Is it only me who has NEVER been in a Decathlon? I take it, it's like the sport world of Primark by the sounds of the above posts??

The cycle clothing in general seems to be a bit poor now. The running stuff seems a lot better and i have a couple of windproof running tops that are keeping me warm at the moment in -3 temps.

Used to work there, they have some good stuff but be selective.
Some of it is atrocious...
Bikes are great value but geometry is scary.

Inner tubes are cheap tho 😀

I went in to look for boots. I came out with nothing because the gits didn't have stock of "clown" size (e.g. 12.5). i think my wife ended up getting a pair of ski socks she liked.

They sell branded stuff as well as own brand so you can get some great bargains when they're clearing the shelves at the end of the season...
