I've had a 'thingy' that resembled an olive oil pouring teet that allowed me to pour straight into the flask,
it's gone missing.

What are they called or where do I get one from, cheers

Funnel?

I just pour straight from the bottle but then I worked in chem labs for years so got plenty of practice.

Mini funnel. Buy a simple one in a kitchen shop or online.

Only if you miss or don't follow Scotroute's tip.

Or pour it over a clean worktop, & if you spill any in your clumsiness you can lick it off in safety.

Pour into a Pyrex jug, then pour into the hip flask from there. Any extra is either the angel's share or mine.

If your hands not steady enough - may be time to go full 'cold turkey' 😉

I have a friend who makes them from recycled Japanese shinto priests' wooden sandals, hand carved by death-row inmates. A steal at only 99000 yen. They're made to order so email me off list if you want to jump the queue.
