Ive just been a silly arse and formatted a hardrive and reinstalled windows 7 on it without removing some documents first !!!! how can i get them back ??
Whats the best solution ?? .. and dont say backup !! .. i know now

I've used [url= http://www.r-tt.com/ ]R-TT[/url] successfully in the past. You can download a crippled version which will show you what, if anything, is recoverable

Another vote for R-Studio, not the most intuitive interface but very effective.

Apologies if you think this is patronising, but I don't know your level of knowledge - don't run the recovery software from the affected drive, slave it to something. Otherwise you run the risk of recovering some lost data over the top of some bits you haven't retrieved yet.
