my son iphone 5 got water damaged and Apple shop said it was damaged beyond repair .
is it safe to sell on ebay for parts ?
dont want someone to buy it and get his contacts , pictures etc...
Apple gave us a high error code meaning it is badly damaged .

if it's a basic iPhone 5 (not an S) I would see if a trade-in could be engineered.
Suspect it will be quite damaged for parts use too - would you buy one for that?
