Anyone got a cutter plotter? STW hive mind to the rescue 😉 We want one for scoring and cutting thin cardboard, and Mac compatible. I'm assuming we need some packaging design software too - what to use! So many options.... Anyone have experience?

A Silhouette Cameo will probably do everything you need. It comes with software that allows you to draw the outlines that you'd like it to cut. You can either feed your thin cardboard directly in or else tack it to a carrier sheet.

If you need a more robust or larger machine then I can also recommend a Graphtec CE6000 in either 40 or 60 width.

p.s. both are available with Mac software.

Thanks! The Graphtec looks really good, but it is out of our price range at the moment., we need a 53” width, and £2000 is too much at the moment 🙁

If you're prepared to drop the mac bit, have a look on ebay at slightly older models, we threw one in the skip a few weeks back. Perfect working order, and just bought £500 of inks for it, but doesn't talk to windows 10 so couldn't even give it away.
