come on the bourbon trounces the custard cream but nether can hold a candle to the mighty Garibaldi, but that is primarily because biscuits, as you may well have noticed, DO NOT have hands, fingers or claws.

Biscuit top 5 Is -

5 - Malted Milk
4 - Fruit Shortcake
3 - Fox's Golden Crunch
2 - Custard Cream
1 - Bourbon Cream

This is the All Time List and doesn't stray across the clearly divided Old Skool/ New Wave biscuit threshold.

A custard cream is merely an anaemic bourbon.

Plain choc hob nob makes both look like amateurs though.

Agreed with MrNutt, the bourbon is in fact superior.

3rd vote for plain chocolate hobnob, and bourbon definitely beats custard cream, but you got to put plain chocolate digestive and jammy dodger in the top 5. They are all time classics, although I do accept the JD is a shadow of its former self

Garibaldis rock. In fact, any biscuit named after a dictator rocks. You've got your Garibaldis, your Bourbons, and your Peek Freans Trotsky assortment.

You're all right, especially about the Custard Creams & Bourbons.

The true leader you're all searching for has to be Jammy Dodgers though mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Bahsen with plain chocolate.

Fig Roll - is that a biscuit or just a very small cake?

Ahh, the great biscuit debate.

1. Chocolate malted milk – there a few things better than this bad boy
2. Chocolate hob-nob – great dunking biscuit, milk or dark choc
3. Custard Cream – classic biscuit, good dunker
4. Ginger crunch – a fine biscuit, much maligned
5. Chocolate digestive – an old favourite, always a winner

Bourbons for me are a nothing biscuit, not chocolaty enough to fall into that category, not cream enough for that category, very over rated IMO.

I have noticed a recent trend towards creamizing of biscuits.

Creamy jammy dodgers have always been around, although I only ever used to see them in selection packs.

But Nice Creams? Rich Tea Creams? Malted Milk Creams? They're all new aren't they? Before you know it they'll make Custard Cream Creams. What is the world coming to? It's political correctness gone mad.

What about Rich Tea? Not as fattening as them thar chocolate things and structurally stronger after dunking than both the hobnob (or porridge biscuit as it is known) and the digestive.

Rich Teas rule!

Tunnocks chocccy wafer.
Tunnocks tea cake,
jammy dodgers,
bourbons,

No particular order, 'cos I like them all.

Jaffa cake is the winner though ( I know it's not a biscuit).

Bourbons would make my top 5, as would a plain chocolate digestive, plain tunnocks wafer and Fox's super chunky chocolate chip cookies. I would also have the party ring in there, mmm

[img] [/img]

custard creams are nice but not top 5

To develop the digestive/cheese angle...

Very strong cheddar, and a dark chocolate digestive biscuit...Oh yes.
