I use Madhur Jaffrey http://www.amazon.co.uk/Madhur-Jaffreys-Indian-Cookery-Jaffrey/dp/0563164913 this one, which is an older edition, but anything by her is awesome.

Anjum for me - best home-made curry I've ever had (and tried a fair few over the years)

Email me (in profile) and I will email a pdf of a recipe I was taught by one of those cooks that comes to your house and teaches you to cook.

Follow it and it really does produce a stunning curry - easily better than pretty much anything else I have eaten.

But this one produces a pretty good (if not entirely authentic) curry too. It is better with plenty of chilies in it 8)
