Here is was, working away, listening to a cracking new album that I had on the hard drive of my laptop; said CD finished, I went to select another, and suddenly media player came up with a message saying "media player has encountered a problem" - no details, just that phrase.
Now, none of my music plays: I have tried two different music players and neither work. I have also tried playing the same album from the original CD without any luck.
Any ideas?
Scratch that: I've sorted it.
Go to device manager find the sound card update the driver.
No, wasn't that: It appears that some of the settings were incompatible with the soundcard, so I just reset them and all was good.
