Sustained a Colles fracture at Afan on Friday - the local A&E were brilliant - anyone any experience in terms of how long before I can ride again ?
6-8 weeks in a cast normally and then the wrist is normally quite stiff once its removed. 2-3 weeks to get it moving and starting to strengthen before you'll be back on a bike. You should routinely be sent to physio after this injury.
Bad luck bud. Did the same 3 years ago but fighting fit now, avec added titanium.
I was off work 6 weeks, but can't remember how long i was off the bike. I do remember getting back to riding involved gradually increased (smooth) road rides before getting back to proper mtb.
Thanks, early morning return to A&E to have the cast adjusted due to my hand swelling.
Sounds like the summer is a right off , time to get the turbo out.
