Is it any good or does it get boring after an hour?

Got a couple of tickets off them (for doing them a favour) for the Opening Night tonight at the Trafford Centre and will be going with the missus who is tremendously excited.

I saw their KA show in Vegas, entertaining stuff from a spectacle/acrobatic/costume/charachter point of view, but the story was pretty non existent!

Generally it was enjoyable though.

I've seen a number of their shows, and have never failed to have been blown away by the skills and abilities of those performing. Stunning shows ime.

Absolutely fantastic imho. I have only seen them once and it was amazing. If you like acrobatics you will enjoy it.

I was blown away by the acrobatic stuff but found some of the supporting story/mime stuff a bit tedious.

Go see it, I've been to the shows at the Albert Hall for the last few years, including seeing the same show more than once.

As I remarked to my better half after this years trip a couple of weeks ago, they never disappoint you.

Seen maybe half a dozen of their shows over the years, through work.

The first one was absolutely mind blowing. After that, they're all variations on the theme, but very, very well presented - everything is top notch - lighting, sound, set, costumes, music, and the acts themselves are simply stunning. Some you might not "get", but others will leave you stunned.

I saw them a few years ago and got cramp in my jaw* from being wide-mouthed in awe at what they could do.

*Not really, but it was an amazing experience and I would happily go again.

Varekai is a decent spectacle with incredible acts, but the music made me want to tear my own eyelids off and use them as ear plugs.

Yep - agree with all the above - amazing to see that sort of stuff performed live and the soundtrack's normally great too.

I'd be amazed if anyone got bored watching it!

They're amazing the first time, great the second, and overpriced the third...

a mixed bag for me, I LOVED the bloke in the giant wheel as I could vaguely understand the physical effort and balance etc, the 'rainfall' trampoline stuff was good - but wore quickly - multi person skipping and ribbon hanging ..oh dear .......
a good (but expensive) night out

WOW!!!! THAT WAS AMAZING!

Missus had to work late, so we missed the first half but the second hour was brilliant (wish we'd seen the first now). The bit at the end with the people jumping from swings, think my mouth was wide open.

It was minor celeb heaven too with it being the opening, so extra kudos for the missus. Half the corrie cast (including Roy Cropper), Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, footballers galore (I think we might have been sat next to Roque Santa Cruz). This may not be impressive to the STW massive, but I'm building a bike tonight, on an uplift day at Caersws tomorrow, driving to Pat's house in the middle of Sat night to hand in my Mayhem Solo entry and then doing a ride around Staylebridge on Sunday, and the missus hasn't said a dicky bird 🙂

Rockitman - where were you seated? Just trying to book tickets and wondering how good/bad the viewing is in the medium priced seats?

Varekai is a decent spectacle with incredible acts, but the music made me want to tear my own eyelids off and use them as ear plugs.

The Music of Varekai is amazing!!!, produced by Nitin Sawheny (Mercury Music Prize nominee). I have the soundtrack (well the GF bought it). The music for me really made the show.

fbk - I was in section 201, seats L1 & L2, so second tier back and about half way down that section. Viewing was great from where I was sat
