3 year old Daughter on 2nd day of spots coming out, any advice on how to stop the itching to make her a bit more comfortable so maybe we can all get a bit of sleep tonight cheers in advance

Calpol. Also do you remember the pink calamine lotion that your Mum dabbed on with cotton wool? I still use that on children's itches seems to help.

Children's piriton will maybe help itching, but I suggest you take correct medical advice on that and not the say so of a forum member with no medical knowledge

As above - if the itching is really bad and/ or in intimate places, see a doc as there is a local aenesthetic gel called Instillagel that may be prescribed. They won't if it is just a 'normal' case though.

Phenergan may be prescribed too and it helps with sleeping.

Yes, we had it bad with our 3yr olds last month...

cheers guys just getting a docs appointment now so will see about items mentioned above as she has them near enough everywhere today and 2 nights of virtually no sleep cant be helping

A warm bath with a couple of tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda does wonders for the itching. Virusoothe gel also helps.
