whats the fastest way to get a cheque from a natwest account into a barclays account?
1. pay in at a natwest
2. pay in at a barclays
3. cash it* at the account holders natwest bank and pay cash into barclays?
*can you cash cheques these days?
Pay it in at your own branch. It saves a day over any other method. But clearing time has recently gone up to 7 days or so because they physically dx post the cheque to issuing bank who if they decide to bounce it dx it back again.
I know this because I banked a business cheque, withdrew the funds 4 days later and got hit with an overdraft charge.
