We will be in touch
Hello, we are looking for a laptop to occasionally use for homeworking over virtual networks. I believe the bulk of processing will get done on remote servers and so it does not have to be the fastest machine in the world. I don't want to do PC world again and so what should I be looking at? Thanks
A laptop. You'd be hard pressed to find one that doesn't meet the exacting criteria of "I need to work on it."
Personally, I'd go to PC World or similar in the first instance just to look at screens and fondle a few keyboards, the sort of info you can't glean from a website. Then I'd buy something branded, Dell / Toshiba / HP / Lenovo etc.
I'd suggest something from John lewis that you like the look of and suits your budget. JL are pretty close on price and give a 2 warranty where most places only give 1 year.
