We will be in touch
OK, so Burns Supper tomorrow, and need to have a a piece of tartan clothing or whatever.
Just dont want to spend too much, and guessing the shops on Royal Mile etc are gonna be pretty expensive?
Dont need anything authentic/highquality/genuine, in fact probably something a bit rediculous would be great.
Any ideas where to look?
Oh, and while we're on the topic, any recommendations for a song/poem to take along?
Ta, Duane 🙂
One of the tartan tat stores then. there is one on the bridges near the tron. Gold Bros??
Poem? If you are being non too serious then a bit of McGonagall could fit.
Edinburgh
Beautiful city of Edinburgh!
Where the tourist can drown his sorrow
By viewing your monuments and statues fine
During the lovely summer-time.
I'm sure it will his spirits cheer
As Sir Walter Scott's monument he draws near,
That stands in East Prince's Street
Amongst flowery gardens, fine and neat.
And Edinburgh Castle is magnificent to be seen
With its beautiful walks and trees so green,
Which seems like a fairy dell;
And near by its rocky basement is St Margaret's Well,
Where the tourist can drink at when he feels dry,
And view the castle from beneath so very high,
Which seems almost towering to the sky.
Lidl in Dalry do cheap kilts. I would moan about the destruction of the Scottish culture and so on, but the quality is nothing like a proper kilt, and they just look like tartan skirts.
There's a shop on the Royal Mile selling a marvelous Diana memorial tartan right now
they just look like tartan skirts
That's what they are.
