[Closed] Charcoal BBQ recommendations - not Weber!

My trusty Outback BBQ is just about finished.

They no longer make the same model and I don't really like the look of their others.

Want a good quality one, but not Weber. I had a Weber and didn't like the lack of height adjustment.

Any suggestions?

We had a lovely little Bodum one, until our friends [s]borrowed[/s] stole it! ๐Ÿ˜ก

Tiddly, but great for just a few people. It's not the current model, it was more oval.

Their roofbox is currently in our cellar. I might hold it to ransom to get our BBQ back...

You shouldn't need height adjustment on a Webber. Have the coals along one side and your meat aranged so it's not directly over the coals. Cook with the lid on. Brown over the coals to finish, perfect. Nom nom.

That's what Weber tell you. ๐Ÿ™‚

I don't like the sloped charcoal method, much prefer been able to raise and lower the charcoal bed. Much better and more control.

never heard of sloped charcoal but everyday is a school day ?

direct and indirect heat works well enough for me but it all depends on what you are cooking I guess

Talking about BBQ was got me thinking what can I cook this week

You buried a barbecue in the middle of a bike jump! ๐Ÿ˜‰

We built the bike jump and then got hungry so improvised.

Makes the end of a dig day with a beer and hot food so much easier
