For some reason the integrated sound system in the car has packed up. No sound will come from the speakers. However the in car phone still works.
The big problem is whilst driving along for no reason the speakers will emit at fill blast a crackling/feedback noise.
It genuinely shits the life out of you which isn't ideal. Just been under the bonnet and pulled the fuse to hopefully stop that happening. Any ideas?

Can't really help, but those that may have an idea will need to know the make, model of the car.

The stereo in my Navara had a spell of doing that - I think I decided it was something to do with the amp under the passenger seat. Not done it for ages now though - sorry, not much help

Aftermarket bluetooth car kit? They usually sit between the headunit and the speakers, when you're not in a call they just pass the audio. When you are in a call, they're using the speakers direct.

I'd pull out the headunit then pull apart and push back together every connector you can see.

Al I'll ****ing tell you it is urgent. I nearly binned it earlier on a roundabout in filey when it blasted out with no warning.
It's a full bose system on a mazda6 with phone and all that stuff built in. Amp was my thought will have a search for one.

If it's that bad I'd be removing the door cards and disconnecting the speakers

Evening'. Look at your fuse diagram in your handbook then check the corresponding fuse.

Our Honda Civic did this...back to the dealer and after about 5 weeks with no stereo (and no hazard light switch as it is on the radio facia) it was returned and fixed.

On the Civic (ours has the sat nav built in) it's a diode or 2 on one of the circuit boards - there's a how to on Civinfo on how to replace. When it does it, it's a massive pop and you shit yersel. Even with the radio off, it pops on then off. Only way to make it quiet is to turn the sound down so it's not as loud.
