We have a "connect amp" and two "play.3" amps which is enough for music throughout a two bedroom terrace. All our music is on a hard drive which took a long time but is worth it for ease.I was very sceptical about this system, but it has totally changed the way I listen to music at home. If you have a smart phone, you use that as a controller so you don't have to buy a separate one.

If you just want to use the sonos gear to play music with your existing home cinema systems you will just need a sonos connect (possibly one for each home cinema system, sorry I didn't quite understand if you meant you had already connected the two home cinema systems together..).

Basically a sonos connect has (among other outputs) a digital output which you can connect to your home cinema system.

Had ours (sonos connect + 2x sonos play 3s) for almost a year now and think its a great set up.
