im looking at something different other than 'Merrell' walking boots this year, i went to the yorkshire Dales ('Daleswear outdoor' shop at Ingleton a few month ago and they had 'Cairn' boots on display, cant seems to find them online... anyone else heard of them or bought a pair..just wanting a review of them please ..if i can find the boots ...cheers

A pal of mine is an agent for them, they look very good and he uses them a lot.
Very soft, very comfortable, maybe a little too soft in really rocky mountain areas, but it depends how sure you are on your feet. And depends on whether they suit your foot shape too. I'd go and try a few different brands and see what feels best - footwear recommendations are always difficult because everyone has different shaped feet and different boots are built on different lasts, you need footwear made on a last which is similar to your foot shape.
yep well i do try different products and yep they are all different in sizes/model... im normally a size 5 but receently my mountain bike riding shoes are a size 6....ive never ever worn a size 6 !!! so it just goes to show that every model of shoe is different..
