We will be in touch
I work for an architects and we are after a new A3 printer.
We already have a photo printer, a large format A1 printer, and various laser A4 printers, so the A3 would be used solely for A3 CAD plots.
I have searched around and it seems impossible to find one that doesn't A)Use up ink like a sponge, and B) Break down all the time.
Any suggestions?
Bump!!

In that case why not buy a roll fed plotter? cheaper in ink and you can print as big as you need. Or are you printing renderings?
Unless you're doing the volume to justify a commercial grade digital printer then in house A3 printing is a money pit. And financially almost impossible to justify over popping into your local copy shop.
I would look to replace one of the A4 lasers with an A3 laser. You might need to set it up to restrict certain users (they are great for printing biking maps 🙂 )
Our A3 prints are used too often, and too ad hoc, to use a local printshop.
Recommendations for a A3 roll-feed plotter?
I thought about a A3 laser printer but they are seriously expensive, and don't always seem to print colours from AutoCAD too accurately.
