Looking after my little Nephew quite often and it tears my heart in two every time he asks to watch My Little Pony.

What do I do, We all know this is wrong and it's been going on for far too long.

He loves it and he says "It's ok for me to watch it because there is a boy pony too!"

Bought him loads of DVD's, Cars etc. Doesn't work.

Or am I being a bit ott?

He needs tough love and quickly as he may catch gay and then the bad AIDS and it will all be your fault

Oddly I am just tucking into a pink wafer - who knew this healthy and nutritious snack was also vegan - RESULT [ as are jammy dodgers]

Chocolate logs are not vegan so I cannot do that so I am stuck with pink wafers

Have you actually seen any of it? They're now strange superhero ninja ponies. Honest.

Don't ask me how I know this.

Don't let him play with dolls either.

Otherwise, one day he might become a....parent, oh the shame!

Nothing you can or should do. If it's any comfort, my nephew (aged 6) is obsessed with One Direction.

Some scope for some proper awesome uncle points here – maybe he's just really into Ponies/Horses? You could take him Pony trekking or to some stables/petting zoo or something? Whether he was into My Little Pony or not, would be a cool day out all the same…

The new My Little Pony show is ace - the main show runner also worked on the Powerpuff Girls.

There does appear to be a fairly large adult male following for MLP; I have this from a mate who is something of an otaku, and watches, and can talk at some considerable length on, lots of Japanese Animé, much of it downloaded from fan sites, because it's not even been released on disc.
The only ones I'm familiar with are Girls Unt Panzer, (Schoolgirls who fight tank battles in old tanks), and Kin-Iro Mosaic, because a good friend of mine's house is used in the first episode as the home of Alice Cartalet, an English schoolgirl befriended by the main Japanese character, Shino.
She even has her split-screen Morris Minor featured, too!
She's now getting lots of bookings from rather distracted Japanese men with damp handshakes...
...I did try to warn her. 😀
