I've had one of the above for about 2 years and used it daily. Last week it stopped responding to key presses.
I'd like to get it repaired but its out of warranty and contacting Garmin direct isnt getting me anywhere.

Anybody had one repaired out of warranty??

Cheers muchly

Seems odd, I just sent an edge205 back and they replaced it with a new one for £50. Just needed to ring the UK repairs department for a returns number.

I cracked my Foretrex 201 screen and Garmin replaced it for £41.50 incl. postage. Bargain!

Not the first experience i've had with Garmin service.

They are 1st class in this respect.

Their products ain't too bad either! 😆

My 205 Edge is going in soon, the £50 repair also gives you a new 12 month warranty.

Exactly what I did with my edge 205. The one that has come back is brand new with 12 month warranty.

This is what they sent me on the 20th August when I said I'd broken my 705

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.
I am sorry for your difficulties. Unfortunately we don't do repairs,
however we do have a replacement service instead. You can send your
unit to us to be replaced with an as-new refurbished model with a full
year warranty on it at a cost of £99.99 GBP inc VAT. Unfortunately we
are not able to offer an upgrade or part exchange.

If you would like to do so, please call us on 0808 238 0000 (walking and
fitness) with your credit card details and unit serial number.

Seems fair enough.
