Well if Ploppy Peter and the Fredistas can claim 'don't judge him by his ****tish posts, he's a nice guy really' then a bit of consistency is surely not beyond expectation...........

A few points spring to mind here.

1) Where/Why the hell have I learned that nickname?

I was interested to know how much Freds banning was supported and I am interested to see that people who I thought would support his banning don't.

I would very much like to see him back. I always found him amusing in his various incarnations, and he never, to me at least, seemed to take hisself as seriously as some regular posters on here do. Certainly there have been posts on here in the past that I've had to just walk away from otherwise I'd have said some things I may have got into trouble for, but FreddedBra never, ever made me angry. Mebbe 'cos I have a similar sense of humour, I don't know. But yeah, I really miss his posts and would be more than happy to see him back. Support from the working-class proletariat, I say put a statue of RB on the empty plinth, fist raised to the sky in defiance! 8)

The internet is every bit as much "real life" as being down the pub. If you cant be civil in here, then you cant be expected to be treated as someone who might well be civil down the Dog & Duck.

As nickc says, whether he comes back or not doesn't really bother me - his inability to argue in a style any more refined than shouty shouty belligerence has never put me on the debating back foot - but if he did, you could start the countdown timer until his next banning.

On topic I found rude boy did live up to his name was too long winded on his ramblings insulted the intelligence of anyone who disagreed with him never let his ignorance stop him from having an opinion (liked him discussing gentics with a gentic scientist for example)and his ban was inevitable as is his return.

For the record, I don't mind either way. I certainly don't feel there's a yawning gap in my online life that only he can fill.
