Need to renew this. Yes, I know there are reasons not to have it, but we want it.
2 cars, 2 people, including home start.
RAC renewal quote is ridiculous, The AA is similar.
AutoAid and Green Flag seems to come out at a more reasonable price and reviews seem OK too.
Eversure is cheap but reviews are less favourable.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

startrescuse have been fine - reasonable cheap if your car is less than 10 years old

I'm with LV (Britannia Rescue) - seems fine when I've needed the but my needs are pretty simple! 🙂

There are plenty out there in the £50ish bracket for what you want. I'm with LV this time.
I only use these, having had piss poor service from the AA in the past, and in the times I have needed them (3) , I have been attended to within an hour.

We are with LV, covers all of us in any vehicle, we've needed it twice in a year after years without any breakdowns and they've been superb.

Took the RAC option when I renewed my car insurance - switched to Aviva as the RIAS quote had increased 120% and the Aviva quote was the same once the RAC cover was added, so I ditched my AA cover.

AutoAid are cheap and have been brilliant with our couple of bangers over the years.

@thepodge

Glad to hear that 😁

Switched to autoaid last year after the comedy quote from RAC. Not needed their services yet.

Been with autoaid for a while, bit frustrating that their prices are increasing but understandable I guess.

Check out if groupon have an offer on them, and topcashback of £17 is well worth it.

I was with Autoaid for many years called them out a couple of times and they were very good. Only reason I stopped is our car is too old for European cover so moved to a Nationwide Flex account that covers us for Europe travel as well.

I just switch from AA to RAC each year because the new customer price is around always half of the renewal price. They advertise discounts all over the place so they're not hard to find.

I have used it. I wouldn't dare not have it because when you need it it's a life saver. We needed it 6 months ago with a baby in the car and it was a crap day out but I have no idea what we'd have done with no recovery. Probably gotten absolutely financially hammered.

I've had Autoaid for 5 years or so. They've been called out twice and we had a great, fast service from the independents they use.

Timley thread..I got some cheap quotes through off the back of insurance renewal but almost seem too cheap, what do we think?

Much like insurance, the prices seem all over the place...  unless it's AA/RAC they seem to operate like interflora where they just contract the nearest recovery company that's 'signed up' so the service will be pot luck anyway?
