I always used to say I would never watch Big Brother because "it's not proper TV".

Trouble is, this time a friend of mine is actually taking part. I'm going to have to watch, aren't I???

I usually watch the first night to see what the producers have dragged of the street then that's it for me.

Well, at the moment, they have 80 people at the studios who will be on the programme tomorrow night. They choose the final people then. I guess they see who interests them the most...

So you don't even know yet?

I wouldn't bother it's a pile of shite that's long past it's sell by.

I wonder if my email to them actually made them think, haha, I emailed them last year basically saying that the program is rubbish and all they could say was don't watch it so my reply was i lost the remote to my TV and I cannot reach down to the buttons to change the channel.

err - that's the point - I don't think the programme in itself is worth airtime but if a friend makes it in, I guess it will be worth it?? (if only for a quieter Norwich for a while!! :-))

Depends how much you like your friend to suffer the good awful programme that it is.

Wasn't that the case [s]an hour[/s] 5 minutes into series 1?

You are so right. I can honestly say I've never seen an episode. I feel rather proud of my self...

Don't bother with it myself usually, but my wife's aunt is also one of the 80 .
So if she makes it to the final group then I will have a peak from time to time.

"it's not proper TV".

How on earth not?

Not a BigBrother fan but it provided me with one of the funniest moments I've ever seen on the Gogglebox when the guy with Tourettes went through the doors then promptly fell down the stairs.... Up there with Judy getting her Bristol's out for the nation.
