Id like to download some quality break beat music but have no idea what/who to search for.
Anything from the old classics (whats that awesome original much copied breakbeat from way back?) to newer stuff.
Ideally some compililations I can use to run with on my iPod.

The term breakbeat is a bit of a catchall one, there's stuff thats a bit more influenced by drum and bass, hip hop, electro, dubstep, etc, so listening to one artist doesn't really give a fair view of the whole genre. Check out stuff like Plump DJ's, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers, Krafty Kuts, Ben and Lex, Pyramid, Elite Force, Far Too Loud, Stereotype, Real Nice, Stereo8, etc. There's plenty on Tribal Mixes and Sound Cloud.
Agreed, searching for 'Break Beat' is not really getting me anywhere.
Im keen to hear all of the above but am really keen on the nice rolling loops from early hop hop
EDIT: first track found for Plump DJ's is pretty darn good!
Tribalmixes.com is a good place to start, for more hip hop stylee stuff check out Soul of Man, Rennie Pilgrem, A Skillz, Krafty Kuts, Kraak and Smaak and some of the older stuff by Freestylers and Stanton Warriors.
