That's both of his new top table ministers gone this morning.

That Braverman interview was even more terrifying than Steve Baker's

Where do they find these people?. They're all absolutely unhinged!!

I'm honestly surprised he's still there and trying to tough it out. It's almost as if his judgement is impaired for some reason.

Anyway, while it'll be extremely satisfying when he does eventually cave to the inevitable, the longer he drags it out, the more he damages the Tories. So it's a win-win I suppose.

Someone on twitter published a piece that Boris wrote in 2010 which parodied Gordon Brown's reluctance to leave at the time

Who's going to be PM while the Tories sort out a new leader? After all this, they can't leave him in the post to "do the right thing" for the country while they have their hustings and votes. There can't be anyone left that thinks he can be trusted.

And sadly, the opposition are so woeful that they probably still won't win an election ...
The Cons are crap - but will now have to do something about it.
When with Labour be trying to become a proper political force to hold the government accountable ?

Can you imagine just how awful he must have been to work with? The (Tory) public is only now beginning to realise that his personality flaws are deeper than messy hair.

They dont have anything in place for it. Normally they keep going.
Suggestions currently are Raab or, entertainingly, May

He really has no credibility, his position is now unsustainable.
Nadhim Zahawi must go

Zahawi was defending Boris' integrity and honesty the other day, AFTER the bottom pincher news. Didn't last long.

Boris will be too busy doing all the Ministerial jobs to resign now.

Hiding away, licking himself.

Larry is already delivering workforce savings in no. 10 compared to the Johnson administration.

Oooff... reckons he can stay PM 'till the Autumn. Lucky us. Will his MPs fall for that, and give him another couple of months to contaminate their own election prospects?

He hasn't been in office as long as May, and i think it's as straight forward as that.

Thing is, as Johnson can no longer keep a government together, the person he should be resigning to is the Queen, not his party. By not resigning, he is embarrassing her as the system involves the monarch delegating their powers so that the country is governed, whilst keeping them away from making political decisions. Currently the only way to ensure the country is governed right now is for the Queen to sack her Prime Minister.

BBC reporting that he's agreed to leave, but wants to stay on as caretaker until the autumn.

I dont know. I think it is just he is deluded.

I am hoping May gets put in as temporary PM though just to annoy him. It makes sense she wont be competing for the job again and has the experience.

If he stays on, just think of the damage he will cause until then.
They surely can't let him especially as no one would be in the government

Sorry, but this is just naivety or ignorance here.

1 - The problem with the nation is not so much the competence of the opposition but the incompetence of the electorate. Someone above said that vox pop is the worst part of the media output and I agree. But to make vox pop you need to be able to find this dribblers out there to interview. They genuinely do live amongst us. Incredible as it might seem to anyone vaguely attuned to current affairs there are millions of peoples capable of voting but with frighteningly little understanding of what they are voting for and stupendously superficial knowledge of the matters of the day; voting primarily on family tradition and an attraction to 'crazzzzy' haircuts.

2. It is blindingly obvious why the opposition in Westminster are not calling for a parliamentary vote of no confidence and forcing an election. It has nothing to do with if they would win a GE. In fact that fact that the polls currently say they would walk one is precisely why they can't. It would force tory MPs to vote for the government - to rally around the current leadership. They simply would have no choice but to do so if vast swathes of them want an opportunity to hold onto their seats.
