We're going away for a week next week. Looks like we'll be inside a lot.

What board games are good for two people?

Boggle is really good. We also like the Logo game.

Jaipur (a card-based camel/commodity trading game, we keep lending our copy to friends, who like it so much they tend to forget to give it back )

Patchwork (a bit like tetris, but with extra bonus points on offer)

Fjords (not entirely unlike othello, but with a map-building phase)

Hive (complicated, in a good way, but you'll need to be properly dedicated to learn all the effects)

Agricola - All Creatures big and small : a really fun farm building game.

there are loads, but they should keep you going for a while...

and if you haven't got ticket to ride, you need to have a long cold look at your priorities. it's not specifically a 2 player, but it works well.

It's not a board game but we have a travel bag of Qwirkle that we take on holiday. Qwirkle cubes is good too...

Agricola – All Creatures big and small : a really fun farm building game.

ACBAS is brilliant, but it's been out of print for a while and used copies are changing hands for silly money.  Would've been my first suggestion otherwise.  A reprint including the expansions is Coming Soon.

Seconding recommendations already made, in rough order of complexity:

- Lost Cities

- Jaipur

- 7 Wonders Duel (symbol heavy, but easy once you get your head around it)

I think Pandemic works well as a 2 player game too.
