I seem to be getting charged for unanswered mobile calls by BT. If my good lady wants me to call her, she rings my mobile a couple of times, then hangs up (I get my calls paid for). It seems BT are charging us 21p a time for the privilege - that can't be right, surely? Anyone else noticed this?
Yup, has always been the case with mobiles - you're charged for making the connection and then charged for call time. I'm fairly sure it's the same on all companies. Certainly is with Tiscali. It's because you essentially still need to access someone elses network hardware (mobile) and carry out the same procedures as you would if the call went through. So it depends on the premium other companies levy for this access.
