Does there come an age where they cease to fascinate? An age where you overcome the temptation to pick at them?

😕

Blood running down my shin now. 😳 Off to the first aid cabinet to get a plaster.....

Hmmm, I'm 30 and cannot resist the lure of a partially healed wound, the challenge of seeing just how much of the scab you can pick off before it starts to bleed again.

Real men have skin that doesn't break in the first place.

If ever one of my cats gets a scab for whatever reason, I can never resist picking it. I always feel guilty afterwards.

But it's worth it.

Real men use duct tape to self-administer a back sack and crack

I never pick my scabs but then i'm a girl so maybe its different. Have a nice one on my arm from a friction burn track riding the other day, which is currently feeling very tight/little bits flaking off.

I'm pleased to say that I have at least given up eating them.
Most of the time.

I've never tried - is it true that they taste a bit like baby robins ?

i seem to remember reading somewhere they leave less of a scar if you pick them.

The very best bit about scab picking, surpassing even that very pleasurable pain, is the leaking blood afterwards, which solicits another round of sympathy from the household womenfolk! Plaster? Hell no, that would cover up the bleeding (that admittedly didn't actually look too bad until you squeezed the wound really really hard to get some more out).

I've got V8 pedal rash on the back of my right calf, quite a bad /deep set, and I'm wearing shorts all this week.
