Goodness me, am I angry !!. Google search for, whatever, find a link that I think will give me the info I'm looking for. What do I get, ****in blinkx.com, Eveerry time.

AAAAARRRGGGH !!!!!!

Please, oh please, STW massive, help me...

How can I stop my IE or my google searches or whatevers is repsonsible, from sending me to that F'ing Blinkx.com

Any help much appreciated, thanks in advance.

You are infected with Malware.

Download [url= http://www.lavasoft.com/single/trialpay.php ]Ad Aware[/url](free edition is fine) and run that.

Thanks for that, although as I read your post my heart sank lower

I have just installed Norton 2009 internet security and, perhaps wrongly, hoped that such a purchase/installation would prevent this sort of thing happening.

Thank you very much for the info. I am now off to do as you have suggested.

I run ad-aware in conjunction with malwarebytes' anti-malware.

They both find things that the other sometimes misses.

Yup, malwarebytes is pretty good for this stuff.

Another vote for Malware Bytes. It's the only software I know of that deals with the most persistant malware infections (eg ones that adaware and spybot cant deal with).
