I can't believe we don't already have a thread about the greatest spy movie ever made, which hits big screens tomorrow! It stars the greatest cinema actor of all time, in one of the finest screen plays ever penned and directed by one of the greatest movie directors of all time.

The reviews are off the charts.....

Looks brilliant!

The alarm bells are always ringing when you hear the words ‘written, directed by and starring…’

😂

I've literally just watched the 'Threat Level Midnight' episode of the Office for the first time. This is exactly the same thing except Flatley is minted.

That guardian review is very good.😁

Riverdance hoofer Flatley really has produced, written, directed and starred in his own film in which he plays Victor Blackley, a supercool secret agent codenamed “Blackbird”, leader of an undercover special forces unit called “the Chieftains”, like the folk band. Very often, Flatley has a secret half-smile with narrowed eyes; at other times his face is strangely blank and yet intent, like a tourist who has swum away from the other holiday-makers in the Mediterranean to secretly relieve himself in the sea.

Well after reading the review I reckon I will need to give up 2hrs of my life to see it, I didn’t know some of it was filmed just a couple of miles up the road from me at his castlehyde house.

That review made my day.

There's an Apple TV mini-series called Black Bird which is quite decent, strange that lawyers didn't get to work on having such similar names.

RIVERDANCE ICON Michael Flatley has taken home the prestigious Best Actor award at the Monaco Streaming Film Festival.

what?

Despite being an online-based festival anyone could attend, the Monaco Streaming Film Festival was beset by technical issues, one of which meant attendees were actually unable to watch Blackbird, unless you attended an in-person screening at the Grimaldi Forum located in the Principality.

Ahh, seems like there is no end to his chequebook, sorry, talent

it's a well known fact that Flatley can't swim, though he's pretty good at treading water.

Flatley turns in a performance seconded only by Keiko in Free Willy the movie, and will no doubt receive an Oscar nod or the nobel peace prize.

Do you think blocking reviewers from the original showing was a mistake?  No-one seems to be holding back at all here.

He put loads of cash into the industry for that film, sound engineers and others will be greatfully happy.
It looks awful they should reshoot it on black and white it's worked before.

Was thinking the same. Just without the comedy

This would be a great time for BBC to re-screen ‘King of Clubs’ incidentally (if there’s anyone at the Beeb still has a key to the BBC CHOiCE filing cabinet.

Patrick Wilson was great in Moonfall. Can't understand why they put that whiney comedian in it to make it a schizophrenic seeming film.
