We will be in touch
I keep getting the email below. Not regularly and not always 100% the same, but it must have been going in for a year or two now and it manages to avoid gmails spam filter. It must be some sort of scam because its not an advertising or spam email, but for the life of me I can't see what the scam is.....

Suggestions please, humorous or otherwise. 🙂
Maybe just email validation? You reply saying 'jog on' and they know they've got a live email address.
Anything else in the mail, hidden links or anything?
He's also looking for Canoes

Is the e-mail address a link to somewhere?
There's a couple of variations of the scam:
1. Simply a dodgy credit card - they order the stuff, you ship it (or they get their courier to collect - better for them as you can't track), the card turns out to be dodgy and the payment is reclaimed.
2. The "my mate owes me money" scam. The way this goes is that they say they have a mete who owes them (say) £500 - their "mate" will pay you for the goods and £500 more on their card, you send the goods and a cheque for £500. Card bounces, you're out the goods and the £500.
There are variations of no.2 - basically playing on banks pre-clearing payments which later bounce, and often they're not at all interested in the product itself, they want the money.
Ahh I see now.
Can't see any hidden links on my phone, which usually highlights links and stuff
