calling all Bingley locals.

Ireland Bridge is closed & I will be coming from Harden.

What is the best route through to Bingley ?

Can I drive down Beckfoot Lane or do I need to go via Kieghley.

Can I drive down Beckfoot Lane

you can. But not if it's been raining a lot, eh?

You could also go Wilsden, Sandy Lane, Cottingley, Bingley.

Or you could go up that track just below Stephen Smiths garden centre, that brings you out above Blackhills scout camp, then down into Cottingley, and then Bingley.

I did that once, but it was in my Land Rover.

There are some nice cheeky routes around the track mentioned - some of which Tracy Moseley rode very recently & approved of 😀

If you are driving forget Beckfoot Lane - the ford has been blocked either side by huge concrete barriers after some dick in a big 4wd drive Porsche thing had a bit of trouble with the current and was stuck there all day.
Sandy Banks is only passable in a 4x4.
Options are Wilsden/Cottingley or Keighley (& Thwaites Brow if you feel brave) i'm afraid.

Sandy lane works for me, Slightly longer but come out almost in the same place.

I live on Ireland Street, so I've been cut off from Bingley for 6 months, bit of a PITA.

Chase is correct about beckfoot lane being blocked with Concrete blocks. the Lee lane shortcut is 4x4 only in my view. The quickest route would depend on where you're originating from, but from Harden it would be via Keighley. Over the tops to Long lees, drop down towards keighley, just before you go under the rail bridge, take a right, this will bring you out to the by-pass (avoiding keighley centre), then head back to Bingley.

if you come over thwaites way, you can hang a left at the Globe pub and come out at on the bypass, avoiding the town centre
