My Dad wants new phone to replace his S7 Edge but doesn't want to spend much cash
Must haves:
- Android
- Smallish - same size as S7 Edge if possible
- Good camera
- good battery life
Any suggestions??
I think he's got no chance as the S7 Edge was a top end phone in it's day and new cheap phones probably won't be as good
Pixel 6a is almost exactly the same size chassis but fits a bigger screen in it.

6a is £299 at Google store plus a further £90 off by trading in the S7 edge on top of that, so only smashing your budget by £10.

Buy refurbished?
Got a mint condition S10e from backmarket a while ago for less than 200, and is actually smaller than the S7 edge...
Also picked up a Pixel 4a 5G for less than 150 from them, also in mint condition...
As he's clearly not a serial phone swapper and got his money's worth from the S7 don't bother with a two year old phone that'll run out of OS updates and security patches sooner. The Pixel up there sounds like a great idea. Chinese brands like Xiaomi, etc. are great value for money but also go large on the screen acreage. Also worth looking on hotukdeals for offers.
