We will be in touch
We've just had a load of digital photos printed, and I'm not bowled over by them. They basically look like a before example from a pre-press firm's sales pitch, to the extent that you can make out the halftoning in places, and they've really been flattened in terms of contrast and colour. I've not got a loupe to take a look at the dot pattern, but they've clearly come off a digital press of some variety.
Who does digital prints that actually look like proper photos? Is my best bet to fork out for silver halide prints?
I've used and would recommend Digitalab (link) in Newcastle.
A really good inkjet printer is tops but really expensive
To be honest anyone sending out drab prints is doing something wrong, whatever the technology
The Fuji real photo paper stuff is good offered by the 2 companies below
