Going up tomorrow and my sat nav won't know I'm towing, so wouldn't avoid big hills. Ta

M6> A66 (Jct 40 IIRC)don't take the first turn off for keswick off the 66 as this will take you thru the centre of keswick.

....as opposed to taking the next turn off, which will also take you thru the centre of Keswick (from the other direction). 😉

I suppose it depends where you are going to in keswick. if borrowdale area then I would take the second turn off, but yes, both are as tight as each other!

Going to castlerigg hall campsite CA12 4TE. Not bothered about tight, even though I'm 13mtrs long, just wanted to avoid big hills.
