I would like to make a copy of a DVD, is there a good free app for OSX?

handbrake does the trick for me.

Mac the Ripper. Handbrake is designed for ripping DVD specifically for iPod. MtR is better.

Handbrake is not iPod specific, however it is just for ripping to .mkv, ,mp4 and .Xvid which is not what the OP asks.

So go with MacTheRipper, as it also can decrypt DVDs which Handbrake cannot. It can be a bit flaky tho.

While not free, $18, [url= http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/27885/ripit ]Ripit[/url]is supposed to be quite good and is in active development.
