Back to work tomorrow and as usual after a break - I can't sleep. Yes, it can be a bit stressful sometimes and last year was very tiring - but it's not so bad it's getting me down at the moment. However, right now my mind wont pack it in and let me sleep.
I know I'm not alone in this - but its bloody annoying when you are tired and just want to get the first day done and dusted to get you in the groove*.
*Ok, it may be more of a rut.
Not only after a break but every sunday night pretty much
Yep. Sundays too.
Yep every Sunday here too ๐
Sundays for me to....
Yup been off since october.
Starting new job today not through choice.
5 weeks of 12-14 hrs * 7 days
Going to be intense.
Good luck trail rat.

I did that for a lot of years, I'm not sure if I've got a better job now, I care less, or it's a by-product of getting older but I rarely dread going to work these days.
I have tried to be more enthusiastic about work in the last 8 years or so, it helps, but it hurts twice as hard when they turn on you.
Cheers.
Itd not do much dread - more that gardening leave was busy productive and happy for my own ends rather than jumping through hoops for the clueless. Doing work 5 times because the person directing the work has nae clue.
I suspect that changes i have talked about may come to fruition sooner rather than later.
Used to have this on Sundays but do a late gym session and Swim and seems to let me sleep.

I go through phases. My job is relatively well-paid but still quite soulless and let's face it organisational politics are always a PITA.

Yes. It definitely does. I invest a lot in my team and wider colleagues and then if the job becomes unbearable - you end up losing the valued working relationships etc...
