Wanting a baby carrier to give me and the wife a break when the little one won't go down. He's 5 weeks and lives sleeping vertically attached to someone which can be a little restrictive.

Was all set to get one of the baby bjorn models but mumsnet says no and some unfavourable amazon reviews too.

Also been looking at the BECO Gemini and the ERGO.

Wife got a moby wrap and both she and the baby hate it, it's going back.

We've got an Ergo. The wife loves it, I quite like it (though he's too big for it these days). Probably recommended, best of the ones we had / tried, including Baby Bjorn.

Arms, I could never get my head round trusting some plastic and cloth to hold my kids so the two wee had just sat around for a few years and we gave them away.

I'm trying cloth slings on the little Hooter twins at the mo. We have borrowed both a hammock style and a full chest mounted one, they seem to like both so far.

Reflux or silent reflux? Is your little'un suffering from that?

We've tried Baby Bjorns and the Close Caboo but the best we've found is a Mei Tai (a generic cloth sling, ours is a Babyhawk version). Holds them nice and close so better for sleeping and for going places.

Don't think so, just craves attention/contact.

We had a baby Bjorn.

No issues with it whatsoever. Needs a bit of sorting out on day one then I found it fine.

Another vote for baby Bjorn. All three of ours were in one and loved it. A friend has now inherited it and it's going fine, not bad for something that's ten years old.

We've got a Baby Bjorn as well and find it far better than the fabric or sling types we've also tried.

My missus got something along these lines it's a little bit more of a faff than a proper manufactured sling type doodah but it allows you to put them in more positions which means you or your other half isn't always having the weight on one part of your body.

Stokke MyCarrier user here. Picked up an ex-display from eBay. Took a bit of faffing for the first few uses, and then a bit of faffing for the first couple of uses when dd went from front to back but it's been an excellent carrier for the money.
