Awesome!
Superb!
Thanks for the link, that was pretty special. The figures in shot help to appreciate the scale of the operation- flipping the shuttle on it's end is just amazing.
Don't forget the shuttle orbiter is relatively small at 122ft compared to the old Saturn V rocket at 363ft. Good pics though.
Saw a shuttle launch back in 2001 when I was in Florida. An awsome sight.
Wasn't really over-awed by that TBH, not a fan of timelapse with people and stuff in it. Just looks like fast forwarded video. I'd have prefered some arty high-end stills than generic time lapse which (rather disgracefully ๐ ) used auto-metering on some of the shots meaning the background light levels changed all over the show. grrr.
thats a big shed
Good stuff, thanks for the link.
Apparently it's going 100mph by the time the tail clears the tower, some power indeed.
so its on a conveyor belt then?
erm wow
Pretty impressive. That shed must be HUGE, the shuttle looked tiny when they winched it up. Liked the fisheye shots too.
Best job I ever had was working on that thing 30 years ago. Amazing that it's still flying.
Nuts.
Love the slot in the hanger for the tail fin ๐
