Anyone else having problems with Avast Free AV, in the last couple of days it's been opening warning boxes on boot up saying that there is a dodgy file lurking. I follow the instructions to re-boot and have a scan, which takes an hour or so. At the end of the scan the report tells me that no dodgy files have been found. Next start up the whole thing is repeated. PITA is an understatement. I have run malware stuff which picks up on and clears all the usual trackers from the pron sites etc.
Any ideas?
Change AV software?

does it give you any details on boot up? normally there's enough int he warning to do a google search and find what it's talkign about.
it may be something lurking in your startup that it doesn't find when doign a full scan.
you might have a trojan or spyware which avast wont deal with, install spybot and run it to clean the buggers out.
