After your previous couple of posts I searched out tensegrity. I took me a while to wok out what was happening until I realised it was something suspended with other forces added to stop movement. Never heard of it before. This guy ups the ante with steel cable. I reckon cable and turnbuckles is the way forward. Or Dyneema obvs.

When I was studying civil engineering we had a lecture from a visiting German engineer. Frei Otto. One of the pioneers of tensile structures and designer of the roof for the Munich Olympic stadium, which was a big deal at the time. To say it was mostly over my head would be an understatement - as well as an unintended pun.

For those who missed part two - The Chair bit it is here

And for those waiting on the new b[part 3 - The base bit, it is here

That many views and not a comment - at least tell me if you want me to continue or not. I know is isn't Tom Cruise but some, any feedback would be welcome

I was wearing trainers instead of flip flops in the later videos. Okay, that was because it was colder but it could have been H&S taking effect

Just watched the 2nd episode. I do basic bits and pieces of woodworking fixing bits of wood to other bits of wood every so often. Learnt something new - cutting through a glued piece of wood to remove irregularities - might come in useful in the future. Don't have a workshop unfortunately, but if I did, it would probably look as chaotic as yours.
