[Closed] Anyone use voice recognition software?

I currently use Dragon Naturally Speaking, voice recognition software. I've got an old Sony laptop, which I've upgraded to a whopping 1 GB of RAM , some time ago! The laptop is now starting to run very slow and at the same time, the software is beginning to lose its accuracy.
Does anybody know what spec I need to run such software without any annoying time lag or breakdown in accuracy of the system?
I know this is quite specialised topic but sometimes the knowledge of the STW form is simply amazing.
