Got up this monring to find the viv doors open and my snake no where to be seen!!!!! They are glass doors and take some force move them but obviously I had not realized my snakes strength - and yes it's a Python. Anyhow, I had to remove all the kick boards, empty everywhere where there was a hole when my son saw him behind the washing machine. No rush I thought, I'll let the kids go school and I will get him after. Well when I removed the washing maching could I find him - could I heck, he had gone again!!! I searched absolutely everywhere again and nothing - zip - zero.
The kitchen was a mess no so I cleaned it all up, left all the kick boards off and though it's going be a long night trying tice him out with a mouse on a heat mat to see if I could catch him. I had this idea that somewhere there might be a hole in the washing machine, even though I'd looked earlier and didn't find one, I thought lets have another look. So I struggled again pull it out and there he bloody was!!!!! And even though he was cold he could bloody move quick and I just managed get hold of him and return him to his viv. A new lock has been fitted and hopefully that will be the first and last time that will ever happen. What a bloody day 🙄

I had a similar experience many years ago. It turned up a couple of months later in the neighbour's bathroom. Apparently she was sitting on the loo, and sensed she wasn't alone . . .

Lol jockhaggis. That first snake shows how fast they can move when they want and you can never trust them. Mine had to go the vets to have some treatment and he got very very irritable and ended up biting me more than once 😕

They wouldn't live if they weren't.

Plus the one snake i had was endangered in the wild. Surely its better to keep them alive in captivity then let them die out?!

I believe there are more Tigers in captivity than there are in the wild.
Should we let them all go, then let them dissappear into extinction?
