If switched on and in clear line of satellites then your GPS knows exactly where it is 🙂

One of the advantages of GPS-equipped smartphones; with the right software installed, you can find it on a map.
Of course, if its actually in the house, an accuracy of approx. 16' makes that redundant! In that case, you call it... 😉
