It's not Guns though, is it?

It's just Axl and a bunch of interchangeable session musicians.

Was Slash there? If he weren't, then it wasn't GnR now was it?

Saw Slash at Download and Glastonbury this year, 'twas excellent, and the lead singer of his band sounds very much like Axl... they did Sweet Child, Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City along with Slither by Velvet Revolver... superb!

apparently Axl put a stopper on the BBC showing footage from Reading so it wouldn't spoil anything for the Leeds audience. allegedly.

Although to be honest I haven't bothered watching any of the footage from this one. Absolutely nothing worth watching for, IMO. I gave The Libertines 2 minutes of my time just to see what all the hype was about, & wish I hadn't bothered

I'd be well p***ed off if I'd paid for festival tickets before they announced the line-up

It was really bad, Axl voice is terrible now, you could hardly hear him. There was much coverage of Reading by the BBC anyway, it kept saying bands on the TV Guide then they never appeared.

We had a family day out today and there was something on the radio about Axl being really angry with the organisers at Leeds. Guns n Roses did their usual thing of being late on stage (LOL, at least they turned up) and got their set cut short.

It's about time Axl Rose got his head out from his bum and realised he owes something to the fans who line his pockets.

For what it's worth I always thought they were sh*te.

I like Arcade Fire but thought the singers voice was very weak, Band of Horses were good.

Don't mind if I wait another fourteen years for the next GnR album after that last pile of tom tit

Fine exponents of noises for fourteen-year old boys. White. Spotty. Not yet over running up to girls and punching them...

I was there, it sounded great on the night. The coming on an hour late thing is classic Axl being a cock, no excuses for that but the show was not bad at all, Axl's voice isn't quite what it was but not so far off it. They did open with Chinese Democracy which is just plain stupid, considering they were already getting booed to hell for being late. But I've got to say they put on a good show, at least what I saw of it. Sounds like the TV mix might not have been as good as the live mix.

"It's not Guns though, is it?
It's just Axl and a bunch of interchangeable session musicians."

Trivia for you... Dizzy Reid, Tommy Stinson and Chris Pitman have all been in the band for longer than Slash was 😉 The lead guitarist boy's been in almost as long now.
