Does it actually work, or do you end up having to go round getting the bits it missed, in the corners?
There is a guy on theregister.co.uk who likes robots - his reviews are fairly good....

no, i clean my vacuum myself.
We've got some roombas at work.
Only really good if you keep a tidy house in the first place really.
Doesn't understand the concepts of pants, coins etc.
We have had a roomba for about a year now - I love it - clear the cr*p from the floor, nit the button and go out - come back to a clean room !
If you are an*l then it wont clean well enough but it is plenty good enough for us - takes a while but easier than doing it yourself.
Put it this way if ours broke we would buy another tomorrow

Do you work in a lap dancing bar? 😯
We've got one at work and it is so good I bought one for home too. We have a laminate floor at work and the Roomba keeps it cleaner than manual vacuuming ever did. There is noticeably less dust around on other surfaces. The one at home cleans the upstairs carpets every day. It's the "little and often" effect that is so effective.
I need a "pick all your c**p up off the floor" robot first before I could get one of these.
