im thinking of buying a good rc tank for me ,i mean my boy ,anybody got any advice on any good ones to buy please? thanks

Have to ask: why? I watched the RC tank video on the winter hobbies thread, and while they're pretty cool for about 30 secs, beyond that they look too slow to be any real fun.

Personally I'd get a decent (maybe nitro) buggy, faster and more entertaining. (At the same time I realise it's your money, and your kid: if you really want a tank, go for it!)

Although one of these would be pretty cool:
